Due to school missed on Jan. 22 and Jan. 25 because of snow and ice, the make-up days for students will be on Monday, Feb. 15 and Friday, March 11. These two days were built into the district calendar as potential make-up days for inclement weather.

Welcome to Chapman Elementary School!
We are embarking on the transformation of Chapman into a Leader in Me School. The staff and students will be learning, modeling and living the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
We continue our in-depth focus on scientific-based strategies to enhance our daily instructional delivery in the classroom to ensure student success.
Our teachers are creatively integrating technology into the curriculum, and to use real-world connections to allow students to become effective problem solvers and communicators.
This summer our teachers participated in intensive staff development and they will continue training throughout the year.Chapman Elementary ignites the curiosity of the technology-minded student. The infusion of technology into a balanced curriculum enhances and enriches the academic program and gives students a vibrant 21st century learning environment. where they continue to become future leaders.

Red Shirt Assembly
Today we had our first ever Red Shirt Assembly. Some of the Chapman students earned a red shirt to show that they are leaders. Some of them earned a shirt by exhibiting the first 4 habits - Be Proactive, Begin With the End in Mind, Put First Things First, and Think Win-Win. Some student earned their red shirts by being leaders in the school. We hope that more of the Chapman students will earn red shirts in time for the next assembly.
